So here we are again in the middle of what they are saying could be record snowfall. With very little chance of seeing a new bird we still tried. This time we stayed close to home and walked around the Providence Dam.

Our day started out great. Mrs. Nerdy Birder spotted what looked like a fox sparrow at our feeder. We were unable to get a clear picture of it due to the lens fogging up on our camera. We are going to continue to watch out for this bird, probably while having a couple of beers.

When we arrived at the dam we were surprised to see some different looking gulls. Gulls, for us, are not very exciting but the opportunity to place a new bird on are list was very exciting-especially in winter! We have since determined that it was a Greater Black-backed Gull.

The next couple pictures were kind of neat, I thought. Sometimes it is amazing what you capture. Life list at 78.

Happy Birding!
